Description
Deutsch: 1729 Baubeginn, Fertigstellung erst um 1740, da die Finanzmittel aus Spenden der Gemeinde nur langsam flossen. Laut Inschrift und Wappen erbaut durch Landgraf Carl von Hessen; Mitwirkung privater Stifter (Dr. Wilhelmi). Erhöhte Lage westlich der Adolfstraße, ehemals mit Totenhof. Schlichter Saalbau mit Walmdach und Haubendachreiter, Putzfassade. Portal um 1908 mit Inschrift „Reformationskirche". Über dem Innenraum flachgewölbte Holztonne mit Zugbändern. Doppelte Empore, Kanzelaltarwand des 18. Jh. Der ursprünglich schmucklose Charakter wurde 1903 durch den Einbau bunter Glasfenster verändert. Drei Fenster mit Buntverglasung bez. Hans Müller-Hickler, Darmstadt; 1903 Endner + Cie, Darmstadt. Die neue, ein Seitenfenster verdeckende Orgel beeinträchtigt Symmetrie und Ausgewogenheit des Raumes.
