Description
English: Evening at Loch an Amadan Loch an Amadan (Amadain on the OS) is no more than a lochan at the root of An Aird. The name means 'lake of the fool' in English.

I am told that, years ago, there was an "amadan" in the village who ended up drowned in this loch - something to do with him making a toy boat and going out to rescue it. Maybe it was just a story to keep little boys away from the loch...

The view is up the east coast of Skye to Beinn Tianabhaig.
