English: Evesham: site of former Midland station, 1993. View SW, towards Ashchurch: ex-Midland (Birmingham) - Barnt Green - Redditch - Evesham - Ashchurch line. The station closed with the line on to Ashchurch on 9/9/63, the section from Redditch having closed already on 1/10/62. The ex-GWR station (see SP0344 : Evesham (ex-GWR) station, 1993) was parallel, where the tracks are seen here but the two routes were only connected through sidings - if at all. The Midland station buildings are still standing - in part - in the middle by the car-park. |
