The Niagara area of Ontario promotes itself as a cycling destination. While Niagara has a burgeoning cycle tourism industry (with many organized tours of wineries and local fruit markets) and has been a popular training ground for bicycle racing (included national, world and Olympic medalist), it has also focused on bicycling as a form of daily transportation. Even the deep cold and snow this February has not deterred some from using a bicycle as their means of transportation. Perhaps this is a result of (covered) bicycle parking being readily available this time of year. |
