Description
English: Pictured: Danish troops during Exercise Dragon Charge. British, Danish, and French troops exercised together in Estonia on Exercise Dragon Charge between 16-17 August 22, using armoured vehicles, including the Danish Piranha, British Challenger 2 tank and Warrior personnel carrier. The exercise intended to build cohesion between the units to better understand and support one another for future activities and operations. Exercise Dragon charge involved Denmark’s Viking Company troops attacking an urban area and B Company of 1 Royal Welsh attack a woodland with support of Challenger 2 tanks of Ajax Squadron, Royal Tank Regiment. Over 800 British, French and Danish troops have conducted exercise Dragon Charge on the Tapa Central Training Area in Estonia to reaffirm their interoperability and agility. It was the final, major, force-on-force exercise for the Royal Welsh-led Battlegroup, who come to the end of their six-month tour in Estonia serving as NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) on Europe’s eastern flank.
