Image title	A sign that appeared on the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas, Texas, where Lee Harvey Oswald, the presumed (by most) assassin of President John F. Kennedy found a perch above Dealey Plaza, along which Kennedy, Texas governor John Connally, who was wounded, and their wives rode in an open touring car on Nov. 22, 1963. The sign was left behind when the school-book company moved to another part of town in 1970. The abandoned sign was removed and preserved by the founders of what is now called the Sixth Floor Museum, operated by the Dallas County Historical Foundation. Between 1978 and 1981, the building's exterior was restored to its original 1901 appearance rather than its appearance at the time of the assassination.
