Summary edit

Description
English: The image shows a cell secreting exosomes next to a cell under normal conditions. Exosomes secreted by stressed parasites as a result of inhibiting trans-splicing or under heat shock are acting as a repellent that drives the fit parasites away from either damaged cells or an unfavorable environment. This mechanism could secure a productive infection. Shulamit Michaeli et al.
