Português: A série “Explicando o Clima”, produzida pelo Centro de Informação das Nações Unidas no Brasil (UNIC Rio), entrevista cientistas brasileiros que fazem parte do Painel Intergovernamental sobre Mudanças Climáticas (IPCC) para entender melhor as últimas conclusões sobre o tema, os efeitos na América do Sul e no Brasil e o que ainda pode ser feito para evitar os cenários mais catastróficos.
No segundo vídeo “Impactos hoje e no futuro”, a bióloga da UnB Mercedes Bustamante e o físico da USP Paulo Artaxo falam sobre os diferentes cenários traçados pelo último relatório do IPCC, de acordo com o nível de emissões de gases de efeito estufa e aumento da temperatura, e sobre os efeitos do aquecimento global já sentidos e esperados na América do Sul. “As mudanças climáticas vieram para ficar, mesmo nos cenários mais otimistas”, explica Artaxo, que participou da elaboração do último relatório do IPCC (AR6). Os vídeos da série serão publicados nos canais da ONU Brasil na preparação para a Conferência das Partes da ONU sobre Mudanças Climáticas (COP26), que acontece em novembro, em Glascow, na Escócia.
