| Description |
Le bâtiment des Nouvelles Galeries, détruit lors de la Grande Guerre, est reconstruit à Saint-Quentin dans le style Art Déco sous l’égide de l’architecte parisien Sylvère Laville. Si le magasin n’ouvre ses portes qu’en 1927, les plans d’architecture datent de 1922, trois ans avant l’Exposition Internationale des Art Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (1925) de Paris. (source : site de la Mairie) Le rez-de-chaussée est utilisé par la ville pour organiser des expositions temporaires comme ici "Aviation, la belle envolée".
