Notes: Gift; Carol M. Highsmith; 2009; (DLC/PP-2009:083).; Also known as the U.S. Department of Agriculture Administration Building, it was the first large Beaux-Arts building in Washington, D.C. Designed by Rankin, Kellogg and Crane architects, the L-shaped wings were completed in 1904 and 1908, but the central block was not finished until 1930.; Photographed as part of an assignment for the General Services Administration.; Title, date, and subject note provided by the photographer.; Credit line: Photographs in the Carol M. Highsmith Archive, Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division.; Forms part of the Carol M. Highsmith Archive.
