Bilder donert til Trondheim byarkiv av Joachim Zint, sønn av ingeniør Fridolin Zint (1907 - 1985).

Fridolin Zint tjenestegjorde i Trondheim 1942 som Gefreiter ved Festungs-Pionier-Kommando XVI (Feldpostnummer 42399).

I perioden 21.01.1942 - 31.07.1942 var han innkvartert i Trondhjems borgerlige Realskole.

Billedsamlingen viser bl.a. reisen fra militærleiren i Zerbst i Tyskland til Trondheim via Danmark og Kattegat, brannen i Harmonien 27.01.1942 og avreisen fra Norge via Oslo og tilbake til Tyskland sommeren 1942. Flere av bildene er fargefotografier.

I etterkant av tjenestetiden i Trondheim ble Fridolin Zint teknisk inspektør i Wehrmacht og steg i gradene inntil han ved krigens slutt var oberleutnant.
