English: A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat of Fighter Squadron 1 (VF-1) "Wolf Pack" escorting a Soviet Tupolev Tu-95 maritime patrol aircraft (NATO reporting code: Bear-D) on 6 March 1987. VF-1 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 2 (CVW-2) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CV-61) for a deployment to the North Pacific from 3 March to 29 April 1987.
