Description A fighter squadron VF-33 Tarsiers McDonnell F-4B Phantom II aircraft (BuNo. 152225) is launched during flight operations aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66). VF-33 made two deployments to the Mediterranean Sea flying the F-4B between 1965 and 1967. Note the early-style drop tanks on the Phantom. A Douglas A-4C Skyhawk of attack squadron VA-64 Black Lancers is visible in the foreground.
