Description A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4J-42-MC Phantom II (BuNo 157279) from Fighter Squadron VF-103 Sluggers approaching the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CVA-60). VF-103 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 3 (CVW-3) aboard the Saratoga for a deplyoment to Vietnam from 11 April 1972 to 13 February 1973.
157279 was later converted to an F-4S and crashed into sea on take-off from USS Forrestal (CV-59) on 6 July 1982 when the catapult strap failed.
