Description A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4J-33-MC Phantom II (BuNo 155545) from Fighter Squadron 96 (VF-96) "Fighting Falcons" on approach for recovery on board the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) during operation off Vietnam on 15 January 1972. VF-96 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the Constellation for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 1 October 1971 to 1 July 1972.
