The F6F No. 22 with the flat windscreen is an F6F-5, No. 41 with the rounded windscreen an F6F-3. Clearly visivble is the "g-symbol" for any air group stationed aboard the Hornet between October 1944 and July 1945, the white checkerboards on the tail (and upper right wing). |
