Description Two U.S. Marine Corps Grumman F9F-5 Panther jets from Marine Attack Squadron VMA-223 "Bulldogs" in flight. VMA-223 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 15 (CVG-15) aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CVA-18) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 23 April to 15 October 1956. The photo was taken when the U.S Navy and U.S. Marine Corps transitioned from the glossy sea blue camouflage to the light gray/white paint scheme.
