Description A series of photos showing a landing accident aboard the U.s. navy aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31) off Korea in 1951. Upon landing the nose section of a Grumman F9F-2B Panther from Naval Air Reserve Fighter Squadron VF-781 came off the plane an careened into the sea. VF-781 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 102 (CVG-102) aboard the BHR for a deployment to Korea from 10 May to 17 December 1951.
