Description
English: Indian Ocean, 26 September 2004): An Aviation Boatswain's Mate "Tailhook Runner," rushes toward a McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Stingers of strike fighter squadron VFA-113 after it's successful arrested landing during flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74). A Tailhook Runner's responsibility is to signal that the tailhook is clear of the arresting wire following the landing, so the aircraft can taxi out of the way of the next landing aircraft. Stennis and embarked Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) were participating in a scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean.
