Description

Twenty-three-year-old Adjura had a reversal operation in 2009.

“I felt very low,” says Adjura. “Sex was very difficult and I knew I was different from my friends. I didn’t think I’d be able to have a baby.”

But soon after the operation Adjura conceived her daughter. “My life has changed deeply since the operation. Thank god I have my baby girl now.”

The UK is working to reduce the practice of FGM/C by 30% in at least 10 countries in Africa in the next 5 years. Find out more about our work: bit.ly/1krV9Qk
