Am 9. April beginnt vor dem Schöffengericht München der Prozess gegen die angebliche Hellseherin Claire Reichart wegen Vergehens der Gaukelei nach $ 54 des Bayer. Polizei-Strafgesetzbuches. Die Angeklagte ist die Tochter eines Schneidermeisters, war längere Zeit in Regensburger und Nürnberger Geschäften als Verkäuferin angestellt und trat später in München als Tänzerin auf. Als sie 17 Jahre alt geworden war, entwickelte sich in ihr angeblich die Gabe der Hellseherei, unter der sie fortan körperlich und seelisch zu leiden hatte. Neben vielen Geschichten unbedeutenderer Art soll sie in den letzten Jahren auch grosse politische Ereignisse vorausgesagt haben. Es wird behauptet dass Claire Reichart die Revolution, die Münchner Strassenkämpfe und den Mordanschlag auf Erhard Auer voraussah; auch in der letzten Zeit soll die Angeklagte eine Reihe hellseherischer Empfindungen gehabt haben. Von der Verteidigung der Angeklagten wird jede betrügerische Absicht der Claire Reichart bestritten. Die Angeklagte habe zwar wiederholt Geschenke angenommen, bei ihren Prophezeiungen aber immer im guten Glauben an ihre Fähigkeiten gehandelt. Ein besonderes Gewicht bei der Hellsehergabe der Claire Reichart wird darauf gelegt, dass die Angeklagte am Allerseelentag und noch dazu an einem Sonntag geboren ist; dazu soll sie, was für die Hellseherei als besonders vorteilhaft gilt, hellblondes Haar besitzen. – Zur Verhandlung werden voraussichtlich zahlreiche Zeugen und Sachverständigen geladen, darunter Erhard Auer, General von Epp, Freiherr von Schren[c]k-Notzing u.a." |
