Description

1959 FMR Messerschmitt KR200.

The FMR logo on the front is the visual clue that this is a late(-ish) model. After WWII Messerschmitt was not allowed to build aircraft, so turned their attention to the then very poular microcars, aka Kabinenrollers like the KR200. When the aircraft ban was lifted, Messerchmitt sold off the factory and returned to production of planes. The new owners formed Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH Regensburg (or FMR for short) and continued production of the KR200 until 1964.

The annual CRAA (Classic Race Aarhus) vintage motoring event attracts an ever increasing participation from both drivers and spectators.

This KR200 wasn't actually parked on the classic car parks, but in a driveway of one of the Strandvejen houses, where the event was held.
