Description
English: F -111 E, American Air Museum, Duxford The F-111, built by General Dynamics was the first production variable-geometry military aircraft, entering service in 1972. The aircraft was ordered by Britain as a replacement for the ill-fated BAC TSR 2, but the F-111 order was also cancelled. The F-111 had a unique rocket powered crew ejection module. Also visible is the starboard wing of a B-52 bomber and suspended from the roof is a P-51 Mustang.
