English: Fading Away - Bewdley Bypass Plaque Here is a close-up of the plaque commemorating the opening of the Bewdley Bypass on the 12th June 1987. I've increased the contrast to make it readable. At the moment we can still just about read that the plaque was unveiled by Sir James Scott-Hopkins who was a the Member of the European Parliament for North Worcestershire. The Hereford and Worcester County Council is no more - the area having been split back into two separate administrative counties (that for Herefordshire being a unitary authority).
This plaque is in the car park for Blackstone Rock (off the A456), otherwise known as Blackstone Picnic Site. |
