Ces spécimens technologiques aux ailes lumineuses travaillent à construire un nid assemblé de pièces mécaniques qu’ils trouvent ici et là. Les ailes possèdent un dispositif lumineux qui s’allume et s’éteint doucement, chacun à son propre rythme. Ce signal lumineux est une langue universelle commune à tous les spécimens hybrides de la murale. Pour communiquer et évoluer avec autrui, ne doit-on pas arriver à se rejoindre et à se comprendre? Biographie : Détenteur d’une maîtrise en arts visuels (2012) de l’Université du Québec à Montréal, Laurent Lamarche questionne les relations entre la nature et l’artifice par l’élaboration d’organismes vivants fictifs. Ses œuvres ont été présentées dans des expositions collectives et individuelles au Québec et à l’étranger (États-Unis, Espagne, Danemark, Chine, Italie) ; elles font partie de nombreuses collections privées et publiques (Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Cirque du Soleil, Loto-Québec, Tourisme Montréal et université Berkeley de Californie).
