English: Built in 1926-27, this Beaux Arts-style building, one of the tallest on Delaware Avenue north of Downtown, was originally known as the Fairfax Hotel. The T-shaped ten-story building features a painted brick exterior on the sides and above the second floor of the front facade, with a decorative stone base on the first two floors of the front facade featuring doric pilasters with rustication, decorative window headers, arched bays at the ends and in the middle, a canopy over the sidewalk at the front entrance, which features an arched transom above the canopy, a porte-cochere at the north end of the first floor, two-over-two double-hung windows with transoms on the first floor and replacement windows on the upper floors, a cornice with triglyphs, festoons, and rosettes, wrought iron juliet balconies on the fourth floor above a band of stone belt coursing, belt coursing at the base of the tenth floor and an egg and dart cornice at the top of the tenth floor, and faux balustrades in panels on the front and sides of the parapet. The building has since been converted into an apartment building.
