Summary
editDescriptionFairmount Avenue, South Fairmount, Cincinnati, OH (27227564667).jpg | This house is on Fairmount Avenue atop Knox Hill in the South Fairmount neighborhood of Cincinnati. Around the end of the 19th Century, the Queen Anne and Folk Victorian styles became popular among people who built on the hill, which are represented by this house, a small working-class cottage, which has some Queen Anne detailing, but a Folk Victorian form. The exterior was clad in shingle siding sometime in the 20th Century, which has diminished some of the house's original charm, along with the replacement of two double hung windows on the side of the house with casement windows with no dividers. Despite this, the house remains relatively well-maintained and somewhat charming. |
