Description This is a mock-up of the long-gone turbine house. When it was first built over a century ago, a massive pipe carried water beneath it through a turbine that ran a massive wheat-grinding machine in the adjoining building. The water supply was barely adequate at best, and there was never enough wheat to sustain the operation. The Queen Bee Mill, as it was known, lasted for only a few years before being closed in the late 19th century. The turbine house today has been recreated using old photographs and stands on the original foundation just above the Falls.
