Trout fly-fishing and horseback riding are two of the family adventures available along eastern Oregon’s Owyhee River. The congressionally designated Wild and Scenic River is also known for its astonishing high desert canyon cliffs and numerous wildlife viewing chances. Experienced floaters and rafters can enjoy the rapids, too. The BLM Vale District manages the Oregon section of the Owyhee River from the Oregon-Idaho state line to the Owyhee Reservoir.
