English: Farmer's Bridge Bottom Lock No 13, Birmingham The canal descends under the old factory building, then under the new road bridge which carries the modernised A41 at Old Snow Hill, (the bottom of Constitution Hill).
The Birmingham and Fazeley Canal joins the Coventry Canal at Fazeley Junction, about fifteen miles away. It has thirty-eight locks, including the Farmer's Bridge flight, the Aston flight, the Minworth flight and the Curdworth flight. The Farmer's Bridge flight of thirteen locks drops the water level by 81 feet (about 25 metres). |
