English: Farmer's Bridge Locks No 7, Birmingham The bottom gate of Lock No 7 is shown in this image, looking down towards Newhall Street bridge. Regeneration of the city in the last quarter century has included many tall office blocks and apartments by the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal, sometimes even built across side ponds by the locks.
Note: the top nine locks of this flight are not correctly located in recent Nicholson's Guides to the Waterways, despite their use of an OS 1:25000 mapping base. |
