English: My children and I enjoyed this past Saturday afternoon at FedEx’s annual Family Day, where a maintenance hangar was set up with numerous activities for the thousands of employees and guests who showed up after passing through security screening. The overcast sky and intermittent sprinkles did not dampen the festive mood.

On hand were LASER tag, inflated bounce areas, remote-controlled auto racing, photo and face-painting booths, rock wall climbing, bean bag tossing, giant see-through balls children could enter and roll around with, and plenty of delicious catered food to eat under a nearby tent. There was also a recruitment team on hand, answering questions.

Earlier in the day, there were staffers discussing benefits open enrollment, and a mobile mammography lab area was present. All free, for employees and their guests! This is another expression of the company’s People-Service-Profits philosophy, where the service and profits follow excellent care of the employees.
