Osten, d. 1.I.1943.
Mein geliebtes Muttl!
So nun wurde ich eben mit den Geschirraufwaschen fertig da will ich die ersten Grüße im neuen Jahr meiner lieben Mama senden. Ja Du wirst lachen wenn Du Geschirraufwaschen ließt noch dazu am Neujahrstag aber wir sind 3 Melder im Bunker da macht jeden Tag ein anderer diese Arbeit na und heute war ich dran. Eben ging unsere „Prachtbeleuchtung“ die Karbidlampe aus jetzt ist die „Leitung“ wieder intakt. So leben wir halt schlecht und recht in den Tag hinein. Heute hatten wir ja ganz wunderbares Essen ich will Dir erzählen daß Dir aber nicht das Wasser im Munde zusammen läuft also es gab: Gänsebraten, 6 Mann ein Gans, Gemüse, Sose, Kartoffeln und als Nachtisch Aprikosenkompott, na was sagst [Du ganz groß, was?]
