Osten, d. 28.II.43.
Meine liebe Mama!
Heute kam Dein lieber Luftpostbrief vom 22.II. es war der einzige Brief für die ganze Kompanie, sonst hatte Niemand Post. So hast Du also nach langer Zeit wiedermal ein bischen Wein bekommen er war ja sehr „geschmalzen“ (4.- RM) aber Haubtsache er war gut und hatt Dir geschmeckt. Nun hast Du wieder 8 St. 10 dkg. Packete abgeschickt ich freue mich schon darauf. Nun sind ja leider diese auch gesperrt. Besonders freut mich daß Dein Fuß schon besser ist überanstrenge Dich nur nicht! Über die Sachen von Frauheim [ Rače-Fram in Sowenien???] freue ich mich auch sehr, es müßen doch auch liebe und gute Menschen sein grüße sie bitte von mir und danke auch in meinen Namen. Die guten Sachen sind aber für Dich behalte sie nur Du brauchst es auch dringend. - Ja heute habe ich auch bei uns zu spühren bekommen das Sonntag ist. Stell Dir vor Heute Mittag hatten wir Hühnersuppe, Schmorbraten mit Erbsen, Sose und Kartoffel [und als Nachtisch Rosinen Pudding mit Mokka Sose.]
