Summary

Description
English: Fence and hawthorns In an area where most field boundaries are drystone walls or hedges, its relatively unusual to find fields defined by fences that offer no shelter for livestock. The old hawthorns suggest that a hedge may once have been here, but seems to have been gone a long time. The fence continues left of the photograph, alongside the track to Dousgill Farm, and right a short way to meet the road, which does have walls both sides, as well as a lot of roadside shrubs.
