A visit to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampton-in-Arden" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Hampton-in-Arden</a>, a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull (was in Warwickshire until the West Midlands county was created). A general look around the village. On Fentham Road near George Fentham Endowed School. Fentham Cottage - the building was formerly George Fentham School (the current school is now on the opposite side of the road). Grade II Listed Buildings. <a href="https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101076761-george-fentham-school-hampton-in-arden#.WfTmYIhryUk" rel="noreferrer nofollow">George Fentham School</a> Listing Text HAMPTON-IN-ARDEN FENTHAM ROAD 1. 5108 No 41 (George Fentham School) SP 2080 18/292 II 2. Dated 1782. Central 1st floor plaque reads: "By the Charity of George Fentham This School was erected in the year 1782 Under the care of Henry Venour, Joseph Crockett, William Osborn, Henry Chinn his Trustees." Red brick, tiled roof. 2 storeys, 3 triple light flush lattice casement windows. C19 half gabled porch. Modern glazed door on right. Included mainly for historical interest.
