Summary edit

Description
English: Ffynnon Aelrhiw The well is located in a field below the church and away from the adders. Long after the Reformation people visited the well because of the reputation of its waters as a means of healing skin diseases. Another well, Ffynnon Saint SH241294, was frequented by people with eye problems. This innocent practise finally came to an end with the imposition of a dour brand of Calvinism in the early 19thC.
