editDescriptionFfynnon Fair - St. Mary's Well - geograph.org.uk - 651825.jpg |
English: Ffynnon Fair Nefyn, the water well in the centre of Nefyn on the Lleyn Peninsula in Gwynedd, Wales. In the Middle Ages it was a station on the pilgrim route to Ynys Enlli where the sick would bathe in its waters. In 1868 a well house was built over the spring, which provided clean water for Nefyn . |
