photographs showing an expeirment in which a student is able to hold a ball of fire in their hands due to methane bubbles. The student will begin by dipping thier hands in cold water, this acts as a barrier to the heat genrated by the combustion of the methane bebbles.

the student will then place their hands into a bucket filled with methane bubbles. After this they will leave their hands out straight for a supervised science teacher to light the bubbles with a lighter and splint.
