Polski: Figura Matki Bożej w Brzezinach (gmina Bełżec) została postawiona jako wotum mieszkańców za ocalenie wioski Brzeziny 8 maja 1948 r. Na wioskę napadła banda Ukraińskiej Powstańczej Armii. Mieszkańcom dowodzonym przez Stefana Kobosa z Armii Krajowej udało się ten atak odeprzeć.
English: The statue of the Mother of God in Brzeziny (Bełżec commune) was erected as a votive offer of residents for saving the village of Brzeziny on May 8, 1948. A gang of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army attacked the village. Residents commanded by Stefan Kobos from the Home Army managed to repel this attack. |
