Deutsch: Links hält Herkules die kerynitische Hirschkuh mit goldenen Hörnern und Hufen. Lächelnd schreitet Apollo auf ihn zu und will ihm die Hindin abjagen. Weggewandt schreitet Leto mit dem kleinen Apollo auf der Schulter. Der inhaltliche Zusammenhang bleibt für uns ein Stück weit rätselhaft. Unzweifelhaft waren die Werke ein Höhepunkt der etruskischen bildenden Kunst, heute sind die exquisiten Giebelfiguren und Antefixe zu sehen in der Villa Guilia in Rom. |
