| Description |
Note: Not all drill holes will be used. These are the holes as they appear on the circuit boards! I may be using threaded potentiometers which cuts out a hella number of fixing holes! With the arrival of some scripts to allow count-ins and so on using Max for Live and Ableton with a USB Display-port style mini monitor I've decided to see if I can incorporate a 7" secondary display into the controller. This means I needed to make some difficult choices regarding space. The (middle) sample control section has been removed and will be put into a separate box. The space/chin in the middle better facilitates screen visibility and access to 16 general purpose controls (possibly using an additional controller other then the Livid Brain -- if I bust the number of inputs allowable by the brain) -- I dislike screens pushed to one side) and most sliders have been converted back into pots. The "ledge" (or chin) below the global knobs will give me some space for cross fading and wet/dry mixing... That's some pretty hefty use of the real estate. I'm ready to fix this design now and start speccing materials. |
