Description

Fairey Firefly WB271 of the Royal Naval Historic Flight at North Weald. WB271 was destroyed in a fatal crash at the Flying Legends Air Show, Duxford on 12 July 2003, when it crashed in a wheat field on the east side of the M11 at around 1430 after rolling inverted and failing to recover. A civilian fitter with the Historic Flight and the C.O. of 727 Sqn, Plymouth died in the accident.
