Summary edit
DescriptionFirst East Scotland bus 31660 (S929 AKS), 26 May 2012 (1).jpg | First East Scotland bus 31660 (reg. S929 AKS), seen in Colinton, a suburb of south west Edinburgh. It's a 1998 Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian, new to Lowland as their No. 1329. It was apparently parked up here, in the Spylaw Street cul-de-sac (off of the road also called Spylaw Street), at the start of a new service, the 18A. It's presumably meant to be a variant of the 18, which is the south west orbital service that links the Gyle with the Royal Infirmary. Normally run by Lothian, First had been running Mon-Fri between the peak-time as well as all weekend journeys of route 18 since 31 July 2011 after being awarded the contract by the council on a subsidised basis. |
