English: Fishing traps on Spur Lake Spur Lake is an extension of Clamerkin Lake, in the Newtown Nature Reserve. These piles, which extend almost all the way across the lake, are probably the remains of fishing traps. This picture looks north-east towards the danger area created by the Lambsleaze range, the centre of which is on the hill to the right. |
