Description
English: Crucifixion group of the winged altarpiece from Rüti, Canton Zurich. In the centre section, Mary stands to the left of Christ on a T-shaped cross and John to the right, with the unknown donor kneeling at the foot of the cross. St Augustine stands on the left inner wing and St Norbert, the founder of the Premonstratensian Order, on the right inner wing. Although there are no carnations on the altar, this altar was probably created in the circle of the so-called Zurich Carnation Master.

Object history
