"COLOR AMARILLO Significa la variedad de riquezas que posee nuestro municipio, los cuales están representadas en nuestro ecosistema COLOR VERDE Representa la flora que cubre nuestro Municipio que a través de ella respiramos aire puro, gran riqueza con la cual cuentan estas hermosas tierras, esto nos hace orgullosos ya que somos el primer municipio ecológico y futura ciudad jardín de la amazonia Colombiana. Enviada por el resto del planeta, ya que nos encontramos ubicados en el pulmón del mundo, cuanta gente estarán añorando poder vivir en estas tierras, donde sus selvas son extensivas y adornadas con su flor insignia como lo es la heliconia, es por ello que hace parte de esta bandera. COLOR AZUL Representa sus aguas, que bañan la totalidad de nuestras tierras con tan preciado liquido con sus principales vertientes del rio unilla e Itilla entre otras, el municipio de calamar se encuentra ubicado sobre la micro cuenca del unilla con un área de 25.111 hectáreas las cuales la conforman los sistemas de termales, lajas y nacederos. Su ubicación geográfica se refiere a la parte alta donde nace caño unilla y sus afluentes principales caño el tablazo y Juan el seco, sirviendo como abastecimiento del casco urbano del municipio. El orgullo de los calamarenses es contar con un mar de agua dulce, es por ello que debemos cuidar esta riqueza que tiene Calamar Guaviare tierra de todos. AUTORA: DIANA GABINO."
