Español: Bandera del municipio de Monterrey (Casanare).

"Fecha de Creación: Septiembre 15 de 1984. Autor: Lic. Reinel Rodríguez Piñeros. Color Rojo: Representa la época de la violencia en 1954, sangre de los compatriotas “Llave de Guerra”. Color Blanco: “Sello de la Paz”; representa la entrega de armas por parte de un grupo revolucionario al general Rojas Pinilla. Color Verde Oscuro: Representa la riqueza forestal de las tierras regiomontunas. Recuadro Amarillo y El Libro Abierto: Significa la riqueza intelectual de nuestros habitantes y a Monterrey como epicentro de la educación Casanareña."
