Description
Español: Bandera del municipio de San Juan del Cesar (La Guajira).

"Esta conformada por tres franjas horizontales de 35 cms de ancho cada una y dos metros de largo. Estos colores son: azul rey o luminoso, amarillo oro y verde esmeralda.La franja superior de color azul rey simboliza el cielo que predicó el Bautista y refleja los grandes ideales de un pueblo culto. La franja del medio de color oro, simboliza las riquezas del municipio, la laboriosidad de sus hijos. La franja verde esmeralda significa la esperanza de los prados agrícolas del terruño que simboliza la redención de los Sanjuaneros. Esta obra de arte fue realizada por el escenógrafo ARTURO JATIVA ECHAVARRIA, miembro de la sociedad Bolivariana de Colombia el día 12 de Septiembre de 1979. Por orden de la entonces Alcaldesa del Municipio Sra Ana Elisa de Brito."
