Description
English: Flag of the Coalition for the Defence of the Republic, a former Hutu Power political party in Rwanda.[1] The red represents the Hutu blood spilt in the 1959 revolution. The black represents the 1961 founding of the Republic of Rwanda as a black African state free from white colonialism. The yellow signifies the sun and the unity of the majority of Rwandans (Hutus).[2]
